I absolutely loved capturing Lydia’s Irvine Senior Session to celebrate her graduation from high school! Taking photographs of your final months before heading off to college is something really special that I highly recommend so you’ll have tangible memories of this time in your life. Lydia’s senior portrait session took place in Irvine at the Jeffery Open Space Trail. The backdrop was perfect for her photos which had a fun, editorial feel. 

A lot of high school senior clients, or their parents, approach me with the question about when is the best time to take senior portraits. I typically recommend any time between late April through the Summer after graduation, although April-June is most ideal for clients who would like to include a photo with their college announcements, at their graduation party, for thank you cards, etc.

I have a few tips for your senior photos throughout the post! 

Senior Session Tip #2: Relax in front of the camera by trusting your photographer and their directions and taking few deep breaths before each set up. I typically send some outfit and look + feel inspiration photos to my clients ahead of time so they know what to expect in terms of poses and mood.
