Parenthood has changed my life for the better in so many ways, and one of my favorite things has been to see my baby grow into a little girl. Everyday suddenly has so much meaning and I love capturing this incredible little person as she learns about life! I have learned what memories are important to a parent and how to create imagery that we’ll tell that story in 20 years. We’ll capture these moments, create memories and, through these keepsake photographs, freeze this time in your lives!

Let the kids lead!

My approach has always been to let the kids lead. From the ages of newborn to 4 most kids (including mine) don't want to pose for a photograph. But, when we let them free and let them lead the session, we get magic!
Relax, breath and have fun!

At the beginning of every session I ask my clients to stay calm, don't feel rushed and to trust me. We WILL get the images we want. Kids will melt, have fun, protest and have just about every emotion during a session. When we're relaxed and having fun so will they.

I believe in collaborating with my clients to achieve the type of images you want. Whether it's a location idea, wardrobe or a certain style of family photography. The more I now the more I can create the images you want and are proud of.

“Coming from the wedding industry, I’ve worked with so many different photographers over the last decade so I’m very particular when it comes to photography. I wanted to freshen things up and find someone new for our annual family photos since we mainly use our wedding photographer for our shoots. During Your Session
Typically my turnaround time for family sessions is 4 - 6 days. This can change a bit during peak Holidays seasons but I do my best to have a quick turnaround. When the images are ready I will upload them to your own private online gallery. In this gallery you will have a few options depending on your package. When I email you I will give detailed directions on how to get your images. I host galleries for 9 months after which time they go to my archive.
I will arrive early to receive you at the location we are shooting. If it's a normal session and not a scaled down Holiday session your shoot time won't start until you're ready. I know with littles it can be a challenge to get loaded up and ready to walk into our location. Once shooting I'll lead, pose and be patient when needed. The ages of 6 months to 4 are the challenging years for sessions and I am super patient when it comes to getting posed.
Once we have reserved your session date we'll chat about locations you are drawn to. Based on what you tell me I will send over some examples of great locations nearby. If we are shooting an in-home session we'll chat about how to have the house ready for my arrival. I love to give input on outfits and props so please ask if you'd like some direction.
